Country

I'm starting to get into Country music now. I've been listening to The Band Perry, Lady Antebellum, Taylor Swift, and Rascal Flatts so far. These songs I have heard are so awesome and I'm surprised to end up liking them so much. I love to hear the Banjo and the Acoustic guitar in some of the songs as well.

That's what I was thinking. Today's "Country Music" IMO, is just a mutant form of Rock.

Now, if you want some REAL Country Music, you have to go with Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, The Davis Sisters, Wilf Carter. Those are just a few.

Just go watch some episodes of "Hee-Haw" for some proper Country Music.

I grew up listening to the generation between what each of you liste; George Strait, Hank Williams, Jr., Dwight Yokam, Alan Jackson, Tanya Tucker.

Basically, if a top 40 station plays it, it's probably not really country.

I'm grew up listening to my grandmother's country music.
Patsy Cline is another favorite.
