Yes, it was called the Spanish flu simply because Spain, not being involved in WW1, had no recent history of propaganda and suppression of truth as had the warring nations and therefore news from there flowed freely. Over here, now that the Oxford Vaccine is here, the roll out of the previous one is being affected. Logistically, the first is more of a problem regarding storage. So our experts are now telling us that the first dose is VERY effective, unlike a few weeks ago when the second dose after three weeks was crucial. Twelve weeks is now perfectly OK.

Dear old Margaret Keenan, star of the show a few weeks ago as the very first recipient, is now probably a bit confused. Now the first recipient of the new Oxford vaccine fills our TV screens. Hurrah hurrah!!
