it's probably possible, with some caution, and only if
there is absolutely no other way, like in survival mode aroun a campfire or whatever. But for me, I would just pour some of the other sauce out, into a bowl or something.

It certainly is feasible, just not practical. You likely don't have the right sort of blacksmiths tongs to hold the can while heating it.

If you had a drivers licence and a vehicle, you could make yourself some ham and eggs, if the sun was scortching-hot... or the engine was running.

s*** ... course its possible, but thinking of the logistics:

1. will be very hot, you'll need gloves or something to take it off the heat
2. will probably need stirring at some point to heat it evenly ... risk of spillage
3. warm through slowly to avoid burning

kudos for the sheer laziness of the idea!

When I went on a food hygeine course we were taught that you should't leave things in the open tin as it makes them open to bacteria, or something like that.

Whisk it in a tupperware dish, then pour it into a sauce pan to heat if you have to.

when i lived on my own, i used to put a can of beans on the radiator to warm them up instead of using the cooker, used to take about two hours to get them warm enough, straight out the tin!
