Well, it seems that way. It's been raining almost non-stop for over three days, and there's some serious flooding going on. Three people have died from roads collapsing beneath them, and people in the Big Thompson Canyon are being evacuated. Nothing serious for Fort Collins, and I hope it stays that way.

Damn, it's so weird how the weather can be so different just a few thousand miles away. It's probably been the best summer here in Portland, Oregon that I can remember. I hope it dries up for you there.

Thank you.

I know! And just a few months ago, we had wildfire outbreaks. We can't catch a break.

Those flash floods are scary as hell. They just come on so fast and that water has no where to go but down hill taking out everything in its path.

We were talking about Colorado a lot today, and how scary it is and how we hope people try and stay safe. Our rain is not as bad and so far it's just a flood watch here not a warning,
Seriously though, just way too much rain at once, those pictures are terrifying.

I hope you stay safe.

Oh my gosh that truck....

I just heard yesterday evening that CO was having "some bad storms." That's pretty serious. No wonder people were worried!

Hope your weather clears up. We've been having mudslides...and not the slushy delicious alcoholic types.

New pictures. A total of 17 miles of Highway 34 is destroyed.

It's depressing to see. A lot of memories up those roads. It'll probably be many months before they'll be fixed.

That is crazy...and that's coming from someone living where flash floods are as common as stray cats. They are frequent here but generally not too destructive, but when they get bad it's amazing the damage they can do.

I hope no one else gets hurt!

Yeah the news was saying it's a year's worth of rain in 36 hours. I was fine, but I have coworkers that were forced to evacuate Wednesday, and haven't been able to get back home since.
