Why is it so hard to find coke in a glass bottle? It taste so much better when it's bottled in glass instead of plastic or in a can.

I think it tastes better in cans than a plastic bottle! Or even those little 20 oz bottles I prefer over the big 2 liter ones. I guess it takes longer to go flat if it's in a bottle or that has never been opened rather than a bottle that is opened often.

I've never had it from a glass bottle though. I would be afraid of breaking it!

Snapple comes in glass bottles and I always get nervous when I drink from them

I dn't know. Must be this throw away American society. Nobody wants to take back bottles anymore. Coke is better in bottles, definitely. They still have 7 oz. Cokes sold in Florida, such as Publix supermarket.

I love those glass bottles. Me and my mom and dad were in the States a few years ago and we bought a little six-pack of coke in cute little glass bottles, it was so fun. We still have the bottles, they're so cute

In the south, everything is Coke. Even if someone hands you a Pepsi, they say, "ya'll wanna a coke?" Or they simply call it "Co-cola."

In Minnesota it's not called "soda." It's pop."Oh, hey, you wanna bottle of pop, dontcha?" "Ya, sure, you betcha."

This little store near me occasionally sells them in glass bottles that are imported from Mexico.


Annie if you could see how thick these bottles are you wouldn't worry much about breaking one.

I agree that coke tastes better in a glass bottle. Its the same with beer. it just
doesn't taste the same from an aluminium can or a plastic bottle. All three are
offered in Australia, and you can buy coke in PET bottles (recyclable plastic) or
glass, but only glass for the smaller classic shaped bottles. Beer started being
offered in plastic bottles at sporting events, like football or cricket to minimise
the damage if they were used to settle an argument or thrown onto the field or
through the crowd. I also thing peoples reluctance to recycle is a large part of
glass disappearing as packaging.

I live tons close to mexico, so half the places sell glass and half plastic. and before my grampa died we could get whole crates of glass ones cheap as he worked forr coca-cola

They have the glass bottles in the south. When I went to visit my mom in Tennessee...that was all she had in the fridge! You are so right..it tastes a hundred times better out of the bottle.

My friend just bought a whole case of them. I think he got them from BJ's.

But they sure do taste better from a glass bottle and are much cooler than plastic.

Good call. I have a friend who bought an old machine and it still had bottles in it. SOOOO COOL!

I don't drink coke. It corrodes your stomach. Do a little experiment.

Get a bowl and fill it up half way with coke. Put a nail in the bowl and let sit for a few days. Look at the nail and see what happened to the nail.

I miss those glass bottles also.

Must depend upon where in the south. I'm further south than TN and we never see 'em.
