Does anyone here listen to classical music? More specifically, does anyone here MY AGE listen to classical music? I can't tell you the amount of crap I take from my friends and the weird looks I get from some people when I tell them I listen to classical music, but I can't help it. It's just so simple yet so beautiful at the same time. I find it best when I'm studying or reading. Listening to pieces by composers like Fiorenza, Mozart, Tosti, Barthelemy... It's just beautiful. What are you favorite composers?

I like classical piano especially. Chopin, Beethoven, Schumann, Mozart (K467 is still the most beautiful piano concerto I've ever heard), etc.

I especially like Claude Debussy and his more expermimental style:

The Brahms Symphony No. 1, 1st movement is used in the movie "Savages" that just came out. It's been awhile since I've seen a new film use music from an older era, but it made me like the movie a little more.

Ah, classical music. True beauty in the musical form.

I love classical music, I always have. With me, it's probably from growing up watching movies & empathising with the emotion portrayed when the film score takes over. I am an emotional person, hell I even had tears in my eyes watching "Toy Story 3" in the cinema. Classical music brings you away to a place or time that is personal to you & lets tou forget about the troubles of the real world for a while.

Some cartoons I grew up watching used classical music in them such as Bugs Bunny, so I do have an appreciation for it. Any music played on piano is great.
