dozen teenagers eat in three days?

8. Is this possible:

The only one I'll comment on is # 9: A fifty cent piece and a nickle. The question only states that ONE of the coins is not a nickle

To be honest Mensa entry tests are quite easy. I think they dumbed them down a bit, makes sense cos you pay to be a member

I would say it is more likely that you are quite intelligent. After all, Mensa only accepts those in the top 2% as based on IQ testing. I hope you didn't waste $65.00 to find that out.

I did a qualifying test years ago when I was a teenager. I was accepted and got my little certificate lol but they wanted ?10 a month membership and like most teenagers I was completely skint all the time! I couldn't really see the benefit of it.

According to them I have an IQ of 141. I can't see it myself, I was crap in school. I can learn something if it interests me but If I'm not interested in the subject then you are wasting your time trying to teach me, I have the attention span of a gnat!

1. What is heavier - pound of gold or a pound of feathers?A pound of feathers is the heaviest because it weights 16 oz.
Metal is weighed in troy ounces, of which there are 12 to a pound.

2. How far can a dog run into the woods? only half way,
after that - he turns around and is running 'out' of the woods.

3. A man is stalking a bear that has attacked his camp.
He reports later that naturally he went south.
What color was the bear? The bear as white. He was at the North Pole (so 'naturally' he went south). Therefore, the bear
was a polar bear -- which are White!

4. Punctuate the following sentence so that it makes sense:
Jim where Bill had had had had had had had had had was right.

Jim, where Bill had had, "had,"
had had, "had had." "Had, had" was right.

Hmmmm, makes no sense to me.

5. Six thousand, six hundred six dollars if written $6,606.
Now write eleven thousand, eleven hundred, eleven dollars as
fast as you can. 12,111

6. Divide 100 by 1/2 and add 10. What do you have?
210. If you divide a number by 1/2, you double it.
???

7. If a teenager and a half can eat a pizza and a half
in a day and a half --- how many pizzas can a
dozen teenagers eat in three days?
[b[ 24. One teenager can eat one pizze in a day and a half.
....or two pizzas in three days.

8. Is this possible:
Today is the birthday of your father AND your grandfather.
PLUS, both are exactly the same age.
Yes, of course. Her dad could be 50, and her grandfather (her
mother's father) can also be 50. {Of course, her mother would have to be much younger than her father.)

9. I have two coins that add up to 55 cents.
One of them is not a nickel. What are the two coins?
a 50 cent piece and a nickle.
One of them is 'not' a nickel, but the other one 'IS' a nickel.

10. You have just tossed a coin that has come up heads for the
tenth time in a row. What is the probability that it will come
up heads the next time?
The chance it will come up heads is 1 in 2.
A coin has no memory.
