Yes, I know they're bad. I know what they can do, but I still smoke...
I do not encourage people who don't already smoke to start in any way, shape or form. Cigarettes really are bad >_<

But for those who do already...
What kind do you smoke?

I don't, but my mom smokes Kools, and my dad smokes Camels.

I've never tried it. A lot of people in my building smoke and whenever I go out in the hall my hair ends up smelling like smoke. It's disgusting.

I was all excited because I quit by using that new drug Chantix. You are supposed to take it for 12 weeks and I stopped after a month, I figured I had it licked and I did for a couple months. lately Ive been closet smoking... lame! I loved being a non smoker! I have to re commit myself and stick with it!

What made you re-lapse?

I'm always interested in the moment when a person has been "clean" for a long time and they are just about to relapse, they are bringing the bottle to their lips, or lighting the cigarette...that moment, what's going on in a person's head?

just being around other smokers. I'm in a 12 step group and it's super hard to quit when you're going to meetings. I just need to keep trying. I should have taken that first slip up more seriously......

Ah, I see. Well, I'm happy you are determined to quit and that you actually made up your mind to do so. Congrats and Kudos to you ^_^

yeah that's a good question. I definetly put smoking cigs in a totally different category than the drugs as far as 'relapse' goes. maybe i should'nt maybe thats my problem.

I read that cigarettes are more addictive than heroine as far as cravings go, so yeah, I consider it a drug based on it's addictiveness.

I agree it is crazy addictive but that drug I took made it easy to quit while I was on it. It's not an anitdepressant and it's not nicotine. It blocks the receptors so the nicotine can't reach the pleasure center. dude it worked so good. But it's not supposed to be easy to quit so I dont' know. I really want to quit for good. I wish I never would have smoked that first ciggarette ten years ago but damn it I looked so cool!
