There is no translation in existence that can rightly say that It is "the" Word of God is true. But the bible wasn't written for the unbeliever or skeptic either. It was written for those who seek a knowledge of the the most high, to gain an understanding of his thoughts and purposes.
Simply put the bible isn't for everyone.

You are not suggesting that King James wrote that Bible himself are you? He didn't. All bibles are compilations, redactions, interpolations and editorial comments alongside of history, morality stories, parables and rules and regulations meant to help people get to know God and treat each other properly. There is a long way to go! peace bybee

Do Christians really believe it is the word of God ?

b] Although the title page of The King James Bible boasted that it was "newly translated out of the original tongues,"
the work was actually a revision of The Bishop's Bible of 1568, which was a revision of The Great Bible of 1539, which was itself based on three previous English translations from the early 1500s. [ So, the men who produced the King James Bible not only inherited some of the errors made by previous English translators, but invented some of their own.

I guess I could have worded my question
Why do Christians believe it's the word of God .

This is why I ask Christians my questions ,

and why I provided links and sources to the info where my questions stem from.

I actually don't know either.
I do believe that some are truly words of God, but I don't know which are. How?
I believe that Jesus had revealed himself to people to task them to write the bible.

The reality is this: There are no answers in religion. All religions are based off of a belief system. So pretty much if you believe in it, that is your truth. Me personally, I don't believe in fairy tales.

Precisely and to argue against a belief system is a waste of time.
