Anyways my ma's cell phone won't turn on it's an lg100c from tracfone it was in the charger last night & this morning it just won't turn on. I can get it to turn on when it's plugged in but only for a few seconds then it shuts off to the charging screen. I don't know what to do about this. Please Help.

Could be a few things, one of which is a completely dead battery.

The best thing to do would be to find someone else with an LG 100c and swap batteries to see if it works with a known-good battery. If you can't find any people or stores with one, you can order a new battery from eBay for $8 shipped.

Did it get wet? The company here that sells iphones here say if it gets wet, do not attempt to power it on, put it in a bag of rice overnight. Other than that, I have no idea but I hope you get it working soon. Good luck.

Sometimes batteries just die. I know my phone does not keep its charge as long as it used it so I have to charge it more often. I think after awhile, they just die but the phone is still good and you just need a new battery.

She's only had it for about 5 months now. it shouldn't be dead already should it?

It shouldn't, but these things can happen. A single cell can be defective and just die.

It's not 100% that it's a dead battery. It could be the phone. But my money is on the battery.

Its rare but I have heard of defective batteries and phones. If you get a new battery and it still does not work, I would bring to to the place that sold the phone. Perhaps since its still somewhat new, they can service it for free.
