Casey Kasem

I'm not much for keeping up with the news but as I was looking at a Sporcle quiz, it referenced Casey Kasem (1932-2014). I was actually surprised that he was still alive until recently but he passed away on June 15, 2014 (Father's Day) at the age of 82.


Casey Kasem's voice is a familiar one from my childhood. I remember listening to him both as Norville "Shaggy" Roberts on the Scooby Doo cartoons and also as a DJ doing the "American Top 40."


RIP Casey.

Casey Kasum pissed off

I was saddened by this. May he rest in peace. He had such a soothing voice.

I grew up listening to Casey Kasem. As far back as I can remember, I recall his voice and his Top 40 countdown show.

To be honest, I liked Rick Dees better because Kasem had too many sad stories that he'd tell on his show.

But still, I was saddened to hear of his death.
