Candle Making stuff is on the way

I've been debating for many months about going into candle making. My husband keeps saying, oh that can be so messy, his mom did it for awhile back when he was younger but I tell him thinkgs have advanced alot since the stone age . I've just ordered a s*** load of stuff online and I'm really getting excited to get started on it. I want to lots of things for Christmas and I have some molds of black bears and such that will sell to tourist and stuff , so I'm going to do this.

I have'nt tried a craft in awhile but I've been tinkering with some small candles and they have turned out great so far so when the lot of stuff I ordered today gets here I'll be good to go. Besides I'm getting bored easily these days.

Does your business have a gift shop or something? That could be a great addition

Candles make great gifts. Hey, maybe you could look into making ones that keep bugs away and sell those too

Yeah I have a counter at the resturant well it's actually a glass display case where I keep souviener type stuff in there that I sell. I also have a gift shop at the campground and the stables so yeah this stuff would be a great additon for me. I love selling little things like that anyway. I'd love to open up a retail store someday but hell I have more on my plate now than I can handle.

I love candles!! Call me a romantic fool - but I absolutely am into those floating candles as centrepieces, around indoor ponds and stuff like that.

You can also take orders and engrave names on it - that'd make a great gift.

I've ordered some of the coolest scents like Strawberry cheesecake and vanilla cream , I can't wait to get started. I'll take pictures of my creatios when I get some of them finished to show all of you.

Awww I remember making candles back when we went to the Schneider house, it was fun.

Candles are a great idea!! I also did the same thing with soap for christmas. I dyed them green and red.....also a couple of blue and white.

You can use all kinds of things to put inside. For the soap I used Christmas buttons and little bells.

For candles you can put in leaves, pine cones....anything outdoors.

Even get molds that are woodland creatures and do them different colors, black bears, brown moose, green trees.

I've done candles before and really enjoyed it. I think you'll like it too.

My stuff came today, I have tons of was and candle molds and candle holders , it's a lot to look at. I won't actually start working with it today I'm sure , I'll do some in the mroning maybe if I'm up to it. I have so many different scents I can make the candles it will be fun.

I need something to do , I'm really bored with being at home all the time and doing nothing but ranting on TFS all day and cleaning a bit. I really need to be constructive.

Its a LOT of fun and you can just keep using all types of idea. Put whatever you want in the candles, make them whatever color and shape.

I think if you get really good you can sell them. Dont forget to post pics of the first batch to see how they turned out.

Yeah I'm making them for presents and to sale , I'll take some pics as soon as I make some.

it was my greatest achievment
until you know i created the first cybernetic human
jesus chrust that was an uphill battle
but once i got a new cup
it was all plain sailing
