Can you really "sell your soul" to the devil?

After discovering the meaning behind "Sympathy for the Devil" by the Rolling Stones, I've been questioning whether you can actually sell your soul to the devil. it doesn't matter what religion you are, do you personally think one can sell their soul to Satan? any personal experiences?

I thought 'Sympathy for the Devil' was pretty direct.

By philosophical theory you can defeat your belief in yourself or your ability to decently manage yourself as an independent entity therefor surrendering your distinguished self (by your own volition in contempt of your distinguished self) to a collective hive mind (think 'The Borg' from Star Trek).

Some say that hive mind is the base root of all of us and Christian factions argue rather or not that base root is 'God' or 'Satan.'

From a more practical and down-to-Earth stand point it is simply destroying your integrity by harming or jeopardizing another for the sake of your own selfish gain. (Some exception (I imagine) would come into play if your cannibalization was your last desperate means for survival - especial survival of your children. )

every time, i watched tv or read in a book, or even a movie. no, you really can't that believe the person can sell your soul. that's true, you wouldn't have a free will. the only true way, i guess you can sell your soul, if your heart would get so dark, no light of goodness would enter. the person wouldn't have no goodness in your heart, you wouldn't have conscience.

I think it's possible.

In The Monkey's Paw by W. W. Jacobs, the parents sell their son's life and maybe their souls, but to what entity, I'm not sure.

Metaphorically: Yes.

i thought ' escape clause ' by rod sterling, is a good example why you must think twice before you sell your soul to devil.
