I just finished beating Call of Duty 1. It's about time. Now I just got to get the other three games and beat them.

There are 4 games, 2 console spinoff, and two expansion packs.

1 of the games and 1 of the console spinoffs don't count because they were made by an entirely different company and kinda sucked

4 games (COD, COD2, COD3, COD4), 2 spinoffs (COD: Finest Hour, COD2: Big Red One), and 1 expansion (COD: United Offensive).

IMO, COD3, COD: Finest Hour, COD2: Big Red One don't really count as games in the series because they weren't developed by Infinity Ward and more or less suck in comparison.

COD4 moving to modern day ruins the competition really, MOH is a WWII shooters series, not just a shooters series...

I hate CoD 3. I've played it a couple of times at the local electronics store, and now I'm so hooked I'm gonna hafta spend a couple thousand on a 360.

Call of Duty is a squad combat series.

I've played COD and COD2 for years. COD2 was my favorite PC game ever. COD4 was a necessary and excellent move for the series IMO. Playing Hardcore MP servers is a great experience. I can't wait for a mod that slows everything down a bit more and gets rid of the silly GPS like WRM did for COD2.

I drool at the prospect of playing S&D on a WRM-type mod on COD4 where everything is slow, single bullet shots usually kill, and there is no respawning. Heightens the intensity so much

COD3 wasn't made by the people who did COD, COD2, and COD4. Totally different game and IMO sucks in comparison.

Don't judge the series by COD3
