Bridge over the River Kwai

Went to Thailand this year and one trip I did was the the river Kwai bridge you can see parts of the original bridge and the prison camp mock up I found the train journey itself intersting and very cheap for a tourist run at 1500 baht.

Cool, I loved that Movie, was the real bridge also destroyed?

The bridge in the film was based on a real one, but didn't get destroyed as portrayed in the film; It was taken out later in the war by Allied bombing, but rebuilt after the war.
