After reading this, it's apparent you still have feelings for him and want a relationship. However, it also sounds like this guy is happy with the way things are.My advice? Accept things for what they are and move on to other people and places. The cleaner break you make, the happier you'll be in the long run.

I agree, your first duty in a post-break up situation is to your own emotional well-being.
Hanging out with this guy is not proving to be beneficial to you.
You still don't have the clear answer that you wanted about why he broke up with you, he's sending you mixed signals about whether he sees you as just a friend or not, and you're preoccupied with analysing everything he does rather than the other elements of your life that need your time.

Is the banter and flirtation really worth all the hand-wringing and stress? Nope.

I really empathise with your confusion and worry, because I feel like I've put myself in a very similar situation before. It might take a long time to feel better, but honestly, letting the friendship go is probably the best decision you can make for your mental health. You deserve a clean break.

I hope this helps, best of luck.

Welcome to TFS for future though, some paragraphs make long posts easier to read.

But on with the the thread- how long have you been together and how old is he? It almost sounds as if he likes knowing that you are thinking of him and waiting for you to chase him so that he feels important

It seems he's happier that way. I see you becoming his friend with benefits.

He is 26. But like I'm the second gf he has ever had. So he's not used to a relationship really or gf. His parents are strict Christians so hes has been brought up that way even tho he isn't one some of his views would be. Like he wouldn't have one night stands and is quite shy when comes to girls ECt. He def wouldn't become friends with benefits as I wouldn't and he is really not like that. I'm the 2nd girl he's only slept with. We where together for a year. He also has Crohn's disease and my friend also has it and he says its an awful illness and when u get sick u push the ppl that care for u the most away and he was really ill in bed the day he ended it. He's not the kinda gay to play games tho it seems what he is doing and suppose everyone does. I just find it out how he wants to b friends and meet for second time, he clearly still fancys me, and the way he was flirting and he wants to borrow CDs. He's very very stubborn when we first met we fell out over something silly and he didnt speak to me for 4 months until we bumped into each other on a night out that's how stubborn he is. I'm def not contacting him first and when he contacts me I dunno weither to just not wb tho as we are fine with each other now it might seem a bit childish and as if I'm playing games r else just chill and remain as friends see how things go. I know this time around If we ever did try again things would have to b a lot diff he always feels in control of everything. Sorry for no paragraphs but I'm on my phone
