1lb bread cut into small chunks,1/2 pint of milk, 1 beaten egg, 30z butter, 8oz raisins or mixed friut, 6oz brown sugar, 1tsp each cinnamon & nutmeg. Soak bread in milk for 10 minutes. Mix in all other ingredients, cook in oven gas mark 5 for 40 minutes. OR USE THIS RECIPE: 4 cups of bread, 2 eggs, 2 cups of milk, add 1 cup of either, apples, rhubarb, coconut, berries, chocolate or bananas.
