What did you like to do during class when there was nothing going on or the subject bored you to tears?
Doodle? Paint your nails?
Eat? Give yourself tattoos with your pen?
Write?

I swing in my chair, twist my hair, stare off at the ceiling or doodle.

I don't learn s*** in EPI.
Booooring.

It's so repeatitive:

If the price of pizza goes up, demand will go down.
If the price of pizza goes down, demand will go up.
And if Little Johnny had 5 dollars and wanted to have some money left over from going out to get pizza, should he go to Pete's Pizza where they charge $5 for 3 slices or Pizza Palace where they charge $2.50 for a slice?
And if a slice of pizza costs $3 and you only have $2, then you should go with the substitute which is tacos.

I don't think they'll care.

Mr. O (AP Psych teacher) is actually fun so I pay attention.

Creative Writing is just us sitting at computers (with Internet) for 45 minutes so I normally just surf the net.

EPI is boring as s*** (as described above) and Mr. D is either oblivious or doesn't care because I don't ever pay attention.

And English... well, I pity the lady who teaches that class. Only a quarter of the entire class is quiet. So I try to pay attention and keep my mouth shut for her.

First rule of teaching. GET THEIR ATTENTION. AP teachers have to really be on the ball, they can't bore you. I'd string beads too, but perhaps drawing or writing wouldn't get you in the doghouse. All students need to feel like they're important to the teacher. Kids pick right up on teachers who don't care. When a teacher goes the extra mile, it pays off and the behavior problems decrease. I think this is just common sense, but too many don't have any.

I doodle, a lot

I make webs in the corners, draw geometric designs, and my recent thing is spirals.

My French notebook from last year had a mural going on the front, made in Sharpie, that was all kinds of shapes and funky designs, and sometimes I'd stick in a couple that were recognizable, like Pac-Man and a snail.

Even if I'm not bored I'll doodle because it helps me listen, I find if I'm just watching the teacher I'm more likely to tune him/her out. Doodling gives me a constant for part of my brain so I don't get bored.

Me and my friend used to make crosswords or word searches for each other. I still have my notebook with quite a few in somewhere.

In Chemistry I'd just daydream, and then ask what was going on once the teacher shut up - thing was I liked the class, he just had the dullest voice in the world.

In most of my classes at school I always finished way before everyone else, it got boring very quickly.

I usually listened to my iPod, read a book or doodled. If it was history I'd also stare outside the window, I had the perfect seat so I could look out onto the fields and the old oak tree. It was lovely.
