Blistering Rash.

I have been in Bali for the past two weeks and this morning I awoke with two burn like rashes on my thighs. They are so painful. I also have one on my neck. Not only do they burn but they are also blistering. On my left leg I have a big bubbly blister about 2 cm long and round. The doctors and pharmicists here have no idea and can barely understand me... any ideas??? Thank god I fly home tonight but I can barely walk I am in that much pain.

This sounds crude but are the rashes on the inner thigh? I sometimes get this in hot weather as your inner thighs rub together.

Nope on the top. At first I thought it was sunburn but it is more like a welt/ burn

Have you got some antiseptic cream you can apply? Sudocream is really good

Yeah they gave me some odd cream. I'll just see my doctor first thing Monday morning. Flying home tonight.

Yet the doctors couldn't recognize what it might be? They don't sound very bright.
That would put me off going back again.

My guess is it's a spider bite.

My first thought was some type of foliage that you came in contact with.

How large are the affected areas?

She said about 2 cm long and round.

It's called TFS syndrom....starts to show itself in persons usually after the first year, but could take longer. lol

Pays to do some research first before traveling I suppose; learn what's native to the area and the dangers they pose. Go as prepared as possible...

I find it odd that they didn't have somene on hand who could understand the OP. That would have left me feeling quite scared and helpless.
