the close time, i went on a long hiking trip was on a 5 miles trip. i was in my teens at my boy's camp. i had wear 10 pound backpack, to pretend to be on a 3-day hiking trip. my cabin and i walk from our cabin to the camp's front gate was 1 mile. them we got on the side of the main country road and walked straight up to a ranger's tower. it was 2 1/2 miles both away. one way, it took us 3 hours, i think. that was a good news, the bad news, it downpour for almost 1 1/2 hours on hike. we finally, got the ranger's tower, we had lunch, we shot the ranger, and ate him.
i think peanut butter and jelly and wash down with champaign
with kool aid. we took our time going back to camp. we pick blueberries, and took them back to camp. the cook at our lounge bake blueberry muffins for us for the next day's breakfast. let stay the hike gave a general idea how i would like the 3 day hiking trip my cabin was going in a few days later. i didn't like it, so the other half of the cabin was thrill of the trip. we were kind of force into go 5 miles one day, to if we would like it. i was lazy back than and spoil, but still has handsome ever.
my counselor was who taught backpacking class at our camp, i took his class. i like canoing more back then. but i was proud of myself that i did take the 5 miles trip.
