Since the 2000 election it has been the goal of the Left to destory this president because algore could not carry his own state. We need to take a look at the Democratic Party and see just who they are and what they have to offer.

The Democratic Party is split over the war on terror and a host of social issues, like same-sex marriage and partial birth abortion. It desires to raise taxes, but will not come right out and say so. It will not or cannot decide what message to convey to the American people.

The hopes of the Left are stuck trying to repeat the past. they hope we will see Iraq as Vietnam, the Bush administration as watergate and hurricane Katrina as the Great Depression, because what is bad for America is good for the Democratic Party.

Meanwhile, we conservatives who happen to vote republican will focus on making history.

Who is it from the Democratic Party that the mainstream media keeps marching out to make their position? The liberal lion of the Senate, Teddy Kennedy, who left that poor girl to die at the bottom of a lake, while he ran home to Daddy. Bill Clinton, an impeached, disbarred, held in contempt ex-President, and its hope for the future Hillary Clinton, who herself has been labeled a liar.

The list could go on and on-- for example, Kerry the war hero, who can't prove the swift boat people wrong. Joe Biden who during the AG winked at ex-AG, and said that it was his judgement Joe questioned; however, it is the Senator who has the plagiarizinf issue, Leary who leaked the Libya plans, Schmer who has his own concerns involving giving out a SS number, and Durbin comparing our miltary to the Nazi, etc..

What a great party to lead the free world

It's all a crapshoot. All politicians make promises they can't keep, and they all say they're working for the good of all while really working for the good of themselves. We always pick the lesser of two evils. The sooner we come to terms with that, the better.

what party do you think could actually make a difference anyway

Libertarian Party, All the other parties are wrong and dont respect the Constitution, the Democrats are too left and flip-flop a lot and the Republicans are willing to give up freedoms for 'safety'. I think George Washington and Thomas Jefferson would be ashamed of what this country has becomes, our fore-fathers didnt die in the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, and both World Wars, just for us to lose our freedoms now, they'd rather die than succumb and I bet if they were alive today they wouldnt cower from this supposed threat from 'terrorists' I bet if those two were alive today Bills like the PATRIOT ACT wouldnt have passed.

I totally got off-topic.

The reason the media gives attention to the left is because the left is looking
out for people and there are good, human interest stories at hand.

No one wants to hear about how the conservatives plan to improve the
economy in the mainstream media.
No one wants to hear about the right being dragged, kicking and screaming
through more human rights campaigns. We've all seen it enough.

The left attack social issues more than they don't. (I'd say 70-80% of the left's
campaign strategies lie within vocalising their intents for social issues rather
than economical) And people want to hear about social issues. Not just
out of related interest to the election at hand, but just out of pure interest.

Common sense would tell you that.

IMO, it is not the Liberals. We are in a conflict so we are going to see some big spending. Remember congress controls the purse,so to get the money needed to fight this war we're going to see some pork spending.

Liberalism is not the way this country likes to be governing, but by a few. They need big government to control you, they need to raise taxes to pay for all the entitlements they had out so people will not have to work and be the very best they can be.

Conservatives, normally want to control the size of government, control spending, but mostly want you to be the very best you can be. Grab the bull by the balls and go for that brass rings.

9/11, and this conflict has changed this.
