Benghazi Cover Up Gets Worse.

More Libyan Outrage.

One of the Navy SEALS killed at Benghazi, was painting the Al Quida mortar position with a laser when he was killed. He wouldn't have been doing so, he wouldn't have exposed himself, if he weren't painting the target for a weapon coming for an aircraft overhead. According to the administration, the AC-130 gunship was in Italy, and the drone overhead was unarmed. Three things:

The administration was lying about there not being an airborne weapons system overhead.

The administration is lying that they didn't have the capability to intervene.

The technical capabilities of the Al Quida terrorists to target the SEALS so quickly made it immediately evident that it was no spontaneous demonstration.

Those two SEALS' heroism deserve our accolades and Medal's of Honor at the very least, instead of exposing the fate of their memory to the internal rot in the Obama White House. This exposes a level of corruption that's even worse than I thought.

Obama was called back from a campaign appearance in Florida yesterday so he could act presidential and "monitor" the storm situation. Would that he had done the same thing for Libya where he could have made a real difference, and 4 Americans there would still be alive.

Why was fire withheld?

Why would they have had a SEAL painting a target they had no intention of attacking, before the terrorist attack even took place?

I did. It said Woods was painting a target with a laser but the unknown air assets overhead were never cleared to fire. Why would he be painting a target his team wasn't clear to engage?

He was "not cleared to engage" for the same reason that the airborne asset was said not to exist.

I don't get it. Why was he painting the target then?

Only two possible reasons, to "paint" the target for an airborne weapon ready to fire, or commit suicide.

Woods wouldn't have exposed his position unless he expected the weapon to hit his paint shortly.

that sounds reasonable ... but it's probably a case of the u.s not wanting the world to know what they were doing at that time ... which does rather leave the two seals kind of in limbo .... hopefully the situation will be clarified in the near future so that they might indeed receive the posthumus medal of honour .

They weren't "in limbo" until he turned the laser on. One way or another they were hung out to dry.

Where does this information that Woods was painting a target while he was killed even come from? I can't figure out what makes anyone think that's even true.

Woods' team was in constant continuous contact with his headquarters. Also, as is most likely, it would have been the AC-130 that they usually worked with on station, and the laser unit would have been synched with the equipment on the 130 before he actually turned the laser on--the crew of which would have been debriefed for Washington. Try keeping a lid on that information.

The laser painting information apparently came from those released emails and was picked up by Fox News.
