Behind His Mask

The epitome of evil manipulation,
stands in the path of truth, honor.
Sweet, kind; what a question mark,
explain my feelings of ignorance,
making me ache, wrench, question.

Open your mouth with reality,
not what you want me to hear.
Bewilderment is a state of mind,
angering to my foundation.
One day my perceptions of you,
appear to feel good, honest, right.
Next, cloudy eyes are unable to see
what?s valid, honest, upright.

Are you an enigma, a mystery,
your collection of masks, used
to attain your wanton purpose?
Do not remain in my path too long,
be assured it will be yanked off.
Will terror strike as truth unfolds?
What will you show to the world?

Strong words..makes the reader 'feel'..
Not liking the power this one has to do so; but liking the ability to capture in verse.

Very strong focus and vision with this one.
A false front covering an unknown persona, begging the question of who is the real person behind the mask and does that person have an ugly heart and spirit.

Nicely realized piece.
