I was just looking through the circulars from my Sunday Newspaper, they have sales everywhere this week, back to school sales that is. Even though I don't send my daughter to public school because I homeschool we still take advantage of the back to school sales. Notebooks for .10 cents each now that's a deal. The state of Tennessee is having a "no tax" week for selected back to school items and I'm going to stock up on things that we will use. It's for clothes , school supplies such as pens, pencils, paper and other items that every household uses. I like to take advantage of a sale no matter what the reason for the sale.

The problem is this is a bad week for traffic in the stores with school starting back next week. Today was register day for the county I live in an some surrounding counties and I know the stores are bustling with people, you won't even be able to move on the back to school isle. Makes me glad I don't have to get the supplies by any certain time if I don't want to deal with the crowds.

I almost feel sorry for the kiddos though, I know they are dreading going back to school after this long summer break. Myself I'm dreading getting back into the daily four hours a day that's required for homeschoolers. It gets old after a while but Kayla is a delight to teach she catches on to everything so quickly.

So I'm guessing all the youngsters here are not looking forward to school starting back?

Well that five weeks will be over and done before you know it so you better get out there and have a blast now before you have to hit the books again.

I hate that, the week before the summer holidays you walk past a shop and you already see "back to school" signs.

That is so me I know at one point I'll need whatever it is they're selling so why not get it at a better price?

I'm really dreading going back to school this year. It's the forever feared junior year SATs, APs, doing stuff for honor society and learning how to drive?

In elementary school when we had just one teacher they would mail home a list of supplies we'd need for the school year. Now with around 10 teachers they all just hand you a syllabus with the supplies list on it and ask you to have everything on it by the following week. I like this because for the first two or three days (however long that first week is) they don't really expect you to have your supplies since the real lessons haven't really begun. I normally just take a folder with some paper and some pens. However, by the time I get to Staples that weekend the store is crazy and there's not a lot left.

I have to go through my home school closet. I have one closet that is jam packed full with books, papers , pens and anything else that pertains to homeschooling. I just have'nt had the ambition to tackle that project as of yet.

I bought so much stuff my highschool freshman year I still had paper left over for my senior year. It was like 6 cents per 200 sheets or something. I had a monster pile in my closet.
