Avatar show: Character ages.

Who thinks the characters in "Avatar: The Last Airbender" were made to be too young?

I think they totally are, that girl Azula came off as being like, 17 at least.
Zuko should have been 18, I mean, 16??? No way.

And Aang being 12 was weird, he should have been at least 15.

What do you guys think?

target audience. that is the reason for these characters' ages. It's supposed to relate to children of these ages, thus making more intersting for them. There are some good sequences in this animation, but not really my style

I love that show! But I think Aang should of been older, especially since he makes out with Katara at the end. Instead of warm mushy feelings all I got was an "eww" running through my head. I don't know if it's just me but I don't like watching animated children kiss.

True, I guess Nick made a bad call here because most of the shows audience was like, the 15 and older crowd.



Omg I love that show too! You know, Aang probably turned 13 by the time the show was over, I mean Zuko did say that a year had passed since the start of the series, so I assume Aang is 13 in the show already lol

No I think they did it right due to the target audience it was aimed at. My 9 year old son never misses a show so it fits right in with the ages you question However I'm a hell of a lot older and I enjoy the show so I guess it doesn't really matter the age it's great either way
