This is so totally opposite to what we are use to reading in the news on the topic of white cops and black men , I had to post it .

I read this last night. It's really good to see some positive comments out there on the police that debunk the stereotypes.

Unfortunately white police officers doing a good job doesn't make interesting reading for some.

You're right, its nice to have a positive thread regarding this issue for once, instead of the usual stereotyping.

it is a nice to read a positive article. the police facing more crimes dealing different cultures more. but it is the cultures has to changes as well as the law.

I agree that changes need to be made on all sides and also that a 'feel good' story isn't interesting reading for some .
And this from the comment section of the article proves that change is needed .

something like ' hidden from veiw in this article is the fact that IF it had been a white man with a busted headlight , he never would have been pulled over .


IMO , what is more hidden from the public veiw is that there are more people out there like these two ( the cop and the guy with a busted headlight ) then there are the kind that is always in the news .

mostly the bang kind.

guns do not go bang ,well maybe the ones in hollywood do .
.screen doors bang , you can bang pots and pans around in the kitchen , gang bangers might make banging noises ,,
but gunpowder makes more of a booming noise . like ka--boom !!! don't you ever watch the roadrunner and the coyote cartoons???

.38's ,9 mm's , I really don 't have a clue about cops and their firearms. I don't watch TV , and the most recent cop movie I seen was a dirty harry one . and that's older then dirt ,in context of movies .

to each their own?

i'd want more kaboom then the bad guys.

Thankfully- This is the majority of cops. That is not been the issue. The issue is cops that are bad.

It is also about good cops who make bad decisions often based in prejudgement of people most often people of color.
