Are our Governments and Drug Cartels the same entities?

Other than Governments, who has the power to run the world’s drugs cartels, and have it’s kingpins to never get caught?

I can think of no one capable of such a feat, other than our own governments.

Similar people (to a point).... similar tactics (to a point)... give each other money.... etc... but not actually the same.

Because of the lack of victories and arrests of Kingpins in our drug war, I think that that fact shows a deep collusion between the two groups, if there is actually two and not just one.

Depends on the country.

Law Enforcement in the USA has been whittling away at organized crime for the better part of the last 100 years... with many successes.

Even Italy has had some success in prosecuting members of the Mafia.

Now... Mexico... that is a different story... though most of the Mexican Cartels are in with "local" governments more so than the national government.

Panama under Noriega... there was little or no difference.

The U.S gave the Dons a lot of time to move to the white markets and political arenas and did not really nail that many Kingpins.

Todays batch of drug dons, IMO, get their orders from governments and the lack of arrests tells it all.
