Are liberals really as ignorant as they sound? It appears to me that they aren't really stupid, just ignorant. Do any of them know anything about history or other countries? I was on a forum and got into an argument with one over the benefits of Government health care. I am a government employee and use government doctors and all that now. It does not work. There is also a reason that it really doesn't work that great in other countries, I know because I have actually been there. There is a reason that the ones that can afford it come to America for health care. But, it is just not that. There is a bunch of ideas that they come up with that sound good, they just don't work. That is where the history comes in. I am not a democrat or a republican; I am more of an anarchist. So this isn't a political thing, just wondering if liberals are really that ignorant.

You're an anarchist?

You do realize anarchism is typically considered a left-wing pursuit, don't you?

And I wasn't aware the US had 'government doctors'. Tell me about that.

The general public is ignorant. It can't be confined to any particular affiliation.

Ummm.......................... I'm from a country which has nationalised healthcare and I can tell you, it ain't that bad. We laugh at you guys for freaking out about it. Seriously, in France you can call out a doctor any time of night with no cost. I'm asthmatic. While I do have to pay for my prescriptions ?3 per named item isn't so bad and when I do need to see a doctor or get on some oxygen for a while I don't have to worry about paying for it, only about not panicking and trying to control breathing. That's a whole lot better than worrying about paying for my meds and for emergency care when needed.

what is the history of national healthcare?
did it start as that, or "CHANGE" from capitalistic healthcare?

i'm on "family care" in my state.
it's a model of what you fear.
i'm happy.
i can see a doctor.

Do you really assume that other people can read your mind, and therefore have a clue what you're trying to say? Because you've really failed to convey any fully-formed arguments in that post.

There are gov employed doctors. I am military, have been for years. I use my wife?s insurance for doctors when I can now, just due to them being better. It is worth paying for her insurance in every way except my wallet.

With the far left being liberal and pushing for more goofy laws over the past few years the anarchist movement is more of an extreme conservative issue now. Back in the day it was the other way around, but things change. It is all dependant on what the politics are doing and which way they are turning.

Now, on me being military some might ask how can you be an anarchist and work for the government. Well it is simple, I do NOT work for the Government, I work for what I believe is right. I don't make much money at it, but it is work that I enjoy for the most part, and I think that overall the military has done great good for the country and for others.

He looked at it more from a British user of the NHS's point of view. I only know about the French service from watching Michael Moore's Sicko but I do know that having a decent healthcare service that's free at the point of service, that doesn't charge you extra for using it more often and is there when you need it is a good thing. After all, you can't ask your appendix to wait until next week to burst or your airways to stop contracting can you?

(Trust me you can't. I tried.)

I'd say anarchy is the logical extreme of the libertarianism which right-wingers extol.

I'm sorry, I see irony in being a government employee and being an anarchist.

Definitions of anarchy on the Web:

a state of lawlessness and disorder (usually resulting from a failure of government) link

Maybe it's just military doctors that suck.

Well, whoever made this diagram seems to think it can be either.

Sadly yes, liberals, as a general rule, are fairly ignorant, but only to concervatives. To us, liberals are invading, brainwashed, mentally incompetent people thinking only of controlling others, just so they can feel more happy and secure in their little pathetic world.

To anyone who DOESN'T think they want to control us, look at health care, gun control, exotic animal bans, etc.

Just to be clear, liberals probably think the same thing about us.
