A follow work colleague asked me my views on abortion, i told her that I'm against abortion. She angrily disagreed with me.

yes and no. if someone asks you for your opinion, then how dare they tell you that your view is wrong. if they dont like the answer then they shouldnt ask an opinion on such a sensitive subject. you did right to say what you thought.

No, but you don't have to argue. Just tell her that you have a different opinion, but no reason to go into any other conversation about it.
I think it's better to stick up for what you believe in, but no reason to fight it when it doesn't make a difference.

No! If it's something you don't agree with then you have as much right to your beliefs as she does in my opinion.

If she lacks self control THAT much id say sure in that case. I HATE people that disrespectfully dissagree. My main goal is usualy to get them away as fast as possible.

Being against Abortion in the UK is sorta like being pro-racism.

everyone has the right to thier own opinion and everyone has the right to voice it, isnt that kinda what this whole site is about? you should never have to agree with someone just to shut them up EVER! but i guess their are people who want to force thier opinions onto others, but id say shes the one with the problem..
