So, on the Republican ticket, you have a Presidential candidate who was officially criticized for poor judgment by the Senate Ethics Committe (and would have likely faced harsher words had his actions been in their jurisdiction), and a Vice Presidential candidate who has now been officially found to have abused her power by her own state's legislature.
They certainly are mavericks, aren't they? Abusing power and officially exercising poor judgment.
More to add to Palin's "officially abused her power" resume:
https://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/21/palin.travel.ap/index.html
"Gov. Sarah Palin charged the state for her children to travel with her, including to events where they were not invited, and later amended expense reports to specify that they were on official business."
"In all, Palin has charged the state $21,012 for her three daughters' 64 one-way and 12 round-trip commercial flights since she took office in December 2006. She also has charged the state for hotel rooms for the girls."
So let's amend this:
On the Republican ticket, you have a Presidential nominee who was officially criticized for poor judgment by the Senate Ethics Committe (and would have likely faced harsher words had his actions been in their jurisdiction), and a Vice Presidential candidate who has been officially found to have abused her power by her own state's legislature and who misappropriated state funds to pay for travel expenses for her kids. And altered official documents to cover it up.
Awesome! Go Republicans Go! You guys really did a great job choosing your candidate this year.
