Hey my friend, I just found this thread of yours! It looks good, with many an informative link to follow, and I had to stop reading to make a post, lol.

I had learned a few things about the transatlantic slave trade in my college classes last summer, but nothing like what I am getting now. Thank you for this well linked thread, and some very educational reading.

EVERYONE knows slavery was totally one sided, it was evil European/American whites enslaving the poor proud gentle Africans, who had no part whatsoever in this trade, and if it wasn't for evil whitey, would still be living in harmony, never wars, sitting on the floor knitting rugs and singing songs.

And of course don't dare to come out with the lie about arabs being involved in black slavery long before Europe thought of it, because that is a lie too.

Or that is at least what many pressure groups and one sided historians want you to think. The truth hurts to some people, not to mention undermines many things they don't want undermining.
