I've got it too, it's normal spyware. Ignore them, don't install, and you have no reason to worry

I'd never install them, but I keep doing virus scans just in case...

You can also set up your browser to block pop ups.

I checked and, although my popup blocker was switched on, somehow a website was allowed through. I never allowed a website, if I want a popup to appear I use the control key so just that pop up gets through... I've deleted that website from being allowed to give me popups so I hope that will be it. we'll see.

I have Bit Defender which has; Anti virus, anti spyware, firewall and anti spam. So you'd think I'd be OK. Just had the virus one come up again despite my changing my pop up settings.

These popups are just generic popups.

They show the same message to everyone.

Think of them as billboards. "Your car's tires are about to explode! Stop at Bupkis Tire Shop RIGHT NOW!" Kinda absurd when everyone sees them.

On the other hand, I think that it's very likely that you do actually have some popup spyware installed that's the source of these popups.

Download Spybot and Ad-Aware and do a thorough system scan.

I'm not a big fan of Bit Defender. At the very least, install Spybot and have it do a full scan so it might pick up stuff Bit Defender missed.

Also, use Firefox instead of IE.

bit defender is pants you may as well use the software that comes with windows...

Like Jonnythan said... Spybot.. its a brilliant piece of free software that will probaly take out nearly all of your problems...

I also recomend you use a better firewall.. Zone alarm is pretty alright, and its free... and also use firefox or opera both really good in stopping pop ups...
