Is anyone having trouble downloading/updating their adobe flash player plugin for firefox?

I've gone through all the trouble shooting steps...including removing all Adobe items off of my hardrive and re-downloading them...and while I can successfully update all other required adobe plugins, I have trouble with the flash.

I don't know what to do...I keep getting an error message that says something like:

"Sorry an error occurred while downloading because one or more programs is currently using an existing version of adobe. Please close all programs and start again."

But I have...I've closed down everything and still no matter what, I keep getting this error message. I've even restarted and tried it, but nope.

I don't know what to do...

Something's running in the background.

What do you have in your System Tray (the area of clock)?
If you do CTRL + ALT + DEL > Windows Task Manager > Process > [Arrange by name], do you see any Adobe programs?

I thought that...but I don't have anything there. I've checked this out too.

That use to happen to me. Now it only happens on one site I frequent that requires a lot of flash.

From what I gather, it's firefox's issue. There is a bug with the newer updates that hasn't been fixed yet.

Though, make sure that all your plugin's are up to date. If your plugin's aren't, then firefox will crash.

Basically go to tools, add on, plugin's tab, and click find updates.

hmmm....

After downloading (not running it), close FF too.
Make sure it's really off after you close the browser.

Try killing process tree of:
firefox
jusched.exe java
veohwebplay
wmpnscfg
sidebar

And installing it again.

What is this sepcific processes?

And I do shut down firefox, though I rarely mess with my system processes unless I know what they are or they could f*** my system up.

I'm not sure what wmpnscfg process is.

seems when you ask for help firefox goes we have no idea what you're talking about. WHAT THE f***?!!! Even when it crashes and you send a crash report. Same thing. I wonder if anyone reads them and they are just fakes!

It's a windows media player file sharing and media detection.

Not important for now. but you can try without killing it if you want.

Al you kill (if it lets you) will always be restarted and be as is once you restart as well.
