Abortion survey

You know, i like the heated debates...its no fun otherwise

All I know that it is my view that abortion is NOT O.K at any time there is a child in a women's womb beginning at time of conception.

But I was shocked, I have 2 children and hemorrhaged with both, but more so with my 2nd child to the point that my family was called in cause the gyne and my doc were sure I would not make it, but by the Grace of God the bleeding stopped suddenly after all these specialists efforts which had failed to stop it, anyway the next time I went to see my GP for a follow up I joked with him and told him that I thought I was pregnant, wrong thing to say. He yelled at me telling me that if I was pregnant that My Gyne, himself and the college of Physicians & Surgeons would take me to court for a court ordered abortion, their case being that if I had the baby I would die, so their defense would be attempted murder on myself, figure that one out, when I spoke to an attorney about this I was told that they would have won the case hands down. Now that's strange

Is this just regarding yourself or do you think no woman should be allowed to decide about her own body when shes pregnant?

Its not just her body any more, theres another person involved now as well. And as a mother, it is her role to put the child first, and bring the baby to term.

Women always seem to have to put others before them. Their partners, their children. How about allowing a woman to put herself first for once?

Agreed, but the entire idea of this thread is to put emotion aside and just make your views known in a concise way. There's a thousand abortion debate threads open all around the site.

If one doesn't fit the particular aspect you wish to discuss, then go ahead and start another. As long as it's distinct enough to stand alone.

We can put ourselves first in other departments, but when a life is concerned im sure its fair to say it would be selfish to put yourself first. All i'm saying is that you shouldn't see it as 'just' her body when she's pregnant, because its not.

yes no and maybe if there is a yes or a no maybe.

some people have some wild views... and i think this is why... some people out there... believe that the only time we can kill something is when it can't defend its-self from us.
what if the abortion's continue... for long amounts of time like 1000's of years to the point where the dying fetuses evolve to the point that they can defend themselves... the doctor comes up to do a test on the woman and then the child pops out of the mothers chest like from the movie aliens

basically what im saying now is... abortion itself is risk to the mothers life... in more than 10 ways that i can think of
