I'm so sorry you weren't able to choose for yourself. It is truly heartbreaking. Choice is so very important. It is a crime that it was robbed from you. I hope you have found some small measure of peace - for your own welfare.

IMO..

a fetus becomes a human life at birth.

a woman should be able to procure an abortion provided simply that she is pregnant and feels an abortion is required. The father shouldn't need to be informed. Her body her choice. period.

What happens if something goes wrong late in the pregnancy and the womans life is put at risk?

A c-section takes the same, if not less, time than an abortion. By 'late in the pregnancy' I assume you are speaking at or after viability. Is that correct or no? Most laws state 24 weeks as when the child is viable. There are many born at 20 weeks who survive and have a good chance of being healthy through their lifetime. The growth and improvement with medical technology from 1973 to 2010 is incredible. In the past decade even. What was your question again?

That survivability is still well below 50%. And I think this thread is about to be derailed It's only meant to be a quiz, not a debate

It's just hard because I can feel the pain and panic in the situations stated above. It doesn't feel right checking off the boxes above, on something so intense, without having d**n good reason. If survival is less than 50%, is that reason to simply terminate when You Just Don't Know?

i'm sorry if i may have caused a debate, though I had seen several other biased comments previous to mine if i'm not mistaken.
