Hi all,

My first post on this site. I hope someone can help out there as I have been struggling for a while now on SPSS trying to do an ANOVA.

I am looking to determine the mean square of the within group in SPSS.

I will use an example:
Say I have 100 people who I have measured their blood pressure six times. In SPSS, I have in the first column the patients name and the second column the blood pressure reading. So we have two columns only. The first six rows of the first column contain the person’s name. The first six rows of the second column contain blood pressure readings from one to six. And so on for all 100 patients.

Now, if I want to determine the mean square of the within group (via ANONA) of measurements one and two only for each patient, how do I do this on SPSS? Then if I want to determine the mean square of the within group of measurements three and four for each patient, again, how do I do this?

Many many thanks in advance.
