I propose we start an international movement to change the calendar to 8 days a week.

That'd be about 45 weeks a year - keeping to the 365 days per year standard, and the months would be 3-4 weeks, instead of 4-5 weeks to keep with the 12 months per year.

The extra day will be placed between Saturday and Sunday - because we certainly don't want another work day.

And it should be called Someday.

That way I can start taking care of all those things I plan to do Someday ....

Could we start the New Year the day after the Winter Solstice? It would make more sense than January 1st.

We just shift the months a little, and the Leap Year extra day is handled at the Winter Solstice.

Please...

45.625 weeks per year.

11.51205 weeks per season.

Would this coincide with the solstice and equinox?

I believe Napoleon implemented a 10 day week.

Does the number 7 have some significance?

AFK and off to Google.

BAK I did not read the entire article. Apparently the seven days represent the historical seven planets. The planets were considered gods by some.

I believe that in Genesis there are seven days.

God worked for six says and rested on the seventh. Being a Jew he billed them for seven. (its a stereotype - geeze get over it)
