Pretty dire game from my team, West Ham, this afternoon and looks like Southampton will be back top at 5 o'clock. Still, at least we didn't loose and we have a game in hand which will see us back top if we win.

Well this thread looks pretty flat, dont tell me know one here is into football??
Great result for my team, West Ham, just now, beat Cardiff away, just a point off top stop with a game in hand and managed to comfortably beat a team who Liverpool could only finish off on penalties in their last game, the league cup final.
Oh, and I see AVB has been sacked by Chelsea, terrible decision by them, its the prima dona England players who think they are bigger than the team who need a slap and bringing into line.

well you knew a couple of weeks ago that Andre Villas-Boas was gone when he was given the dreaded vote of confidence. You cant tell me that the players didnt have anything to do with his sacking. Always easier to sack one bloke than a whole team!

It doesn't specify UK footy, so...

My God daughter left home last month to take up a scholarship to play in the womens A Leage with the Newcastle Jets.

She made the Young Matildas squad a few years back.

Go Jassy!

(and Carn Liverpool)

She's a striker. She was top scorer in the womens Premier League comp here last season too. Her dad is the coach and a mad keen Hammers supporter

Well, I'm not really a football fan. I come from a rugby background and follow the "oval ball" game mostly, but footy is still good to watch and I do try to keep up with what is going on.

I think supporters should follow their hometown club. All this talk of thousands of Londoners travelling to Manchester every week to watch Man Utd, just because they win a lot of trophies is sad. Your home town club represents where you're from and I think that should count for something. The club of my home of birth is:

Uploaded at ImageFra.me

after several years of slump, they're now getting their act together under the managership of Chris Powell and are currently about 13 points clear at the top of League One, so we could well be looking forward to games against Crystal Palace and Millwall next season, although it looks as though West Ham are going to get away from taking a good thrashing at The Valley next season, by rather cowardly taking the escape route up to the Premiership...

No guts, eh..?

I've only ever been to one footy match in my life. My dad took me to a game at The Valley to see Charlton vs Arsenal
on Boxing Day one year. We beat them 1-0, but I wasn't really watching. I spent almost the game reading a book..!!

Sooooooo.... If anyone wants to talk about football, I'm up for it, but beware..... the 'add***s are coming and when the mighty Chrissy Powell's red army get at you, then stand by for a whuppin'.

Come on you reds..!!
