Ok, tweekers, you first...

Just kidding. But I just went on a marathon of working and not-working constantly for 36-hours -- and I'll tell you, I was getting a bit loopy. (Actually I sort of like it sometimes, I can really write music -- when I haven't slept -- for some reason.)

What's your experience on this level?

Do you find yourself more creative, or more cranky, or what?
Do you find yourself friendlier, or less friendly -- in such circumstance?

What's the longest you've been without sleep, and why, or how?
Was it like a drug itself, at some point -- to you?
I was pretty much laughing at the world - for awhile there.

I did just under 36 hours. My record is about 33 or 34 - can't quite remember! A few friends and I did an allnighter a couple years ago as part of a "Survivors Ceilidh"!

You could ask me for anything when I'm tired and because I won't be bothered to argue, I'll just say yes!!

I've done 24 hours, but I don't think I could bring myself to doing anything more than that. I'd go insane!

I'm not too sure, I've been on exercise for a few days with not much sleep but not sure on specific timings.

I feel like my brain has just let down all the barriers, and this is why I can write music when I don't sleep. It doesn't care. It just lets things flow.

Jamaica -- here I come...

That's what I'm talkin about. You go a little bonkers -- in a good way. Once you're stuck with it -- it gets rather funny.

I missed two nights altogether and then had to make it all day long until the third. It was... interesting.

I don't know if this counts but I'm a nurse so when I used to have to do nights (HAVE being the operative word I now do 9-5 so I don't have to anymore! ) I'd have to start them with 24 hours no sleep then survive on anything from 2-5 hours sleep every day for the rest of the week while I finished them - so over 5 days I'd have about a total of about 10 hours sleep bleeeurrrrggghhh!

However when I was in uni I managed 40 hours once whilst attending a full day of lectures inbetween - that was an experience! A bunch of us decided to do it one night so we survived the next day and evening by eating so many mars bars and drinking so much coffee we almost puked! Not recommended!

I had to work very early with a different "boss" and crew -- at the end of this 36 hour run, and I thought: "If I open my mouth -- they are going to know I'm a loopty-loop from the land of loopty-loopism, and so I dedicated myself to keeping my mouth shut.

(I hoped it worked, but I wanted to bend over laughing -- through the whole thing...) It was like "You guys are all so serious! get real! turn on the music!" (In my mind). But nooooooooooooooooo.... I behaved...

Luv the idea of someone in charge of my critical health being sleep deprived...

I know you saw the madness of it.

My friends and I used to make what we called "Power Coffee". I think you can figure out what that is. Three times the grounds and lots of sugar. We used to laugh our asses off at work. (But hey, it killed the boredom...)
