3 things I learned about becoming employed

1st The resume, how to get the decision maker to read it over the multitude sitting in a stack.

2nd Everything counts in the interview from walking in the door, the handshake and leaving for the exit. It is like being a target in an arcade shooting gallery.

3rd The followup what can kill the job that you almost had, something that work and things that don't.

I have hired a lot of people during my career as a video producer and it is amazing the things that worked span all the people I hired. But it would take a thin paperback to explore all of them. Anyway, it is interesting to realize things like this, especially with the job market as it currently is in America today.

tomaims, perhaps you could give some of the younger folks out there advice how to get their r?sum? priority over the competition?
