3 day week

Empty spaces, vacant lots
Weeds grow up in unused plots
Factories closed and shops disused
High unemployment
As it says on the news
Too much time, not enough cash
Crimes rates high, 'can we give em the lash'
Pockets getting squeezed
As we hit a recession
Proud men crumble
And in sets depression
Prices high and wages low
Remembers the 3 day week
From not so long ago

I can't even remember if Labour or Conservative was the bad guys in that. I hope it was the Tories, because Labour really need a break right now.
