I'm assuming he thinks of himself as a pretty funny guy..

they say humor is uses most of your brain. what is mean is if you say a deep joke it makes your mind think why it is funny, if you had any personal relation with that joke, and your mind imagines what is happening in the joke. all this happens in a second or two in your mind. so i think smart and humor go together really well.
