Judas' Gospel was descovered earlier this year. I just want to know whether you think it will have significant religious meaning, or whether it's just another artifact for religious studiers to think about for a couple of years?

I've heard rummors of Judas's Gospel but haven't seen anything tangible of it yet.

It was descovered to have been kept in a bank for the last 15 years.

I believe it was descovered as the acount holder died, but im not sure about that. I've heard that it is genuine anyway. but is it really relevant?

it might be, who knows. I think it's the vatican church that decides those kinds of things

Is anything really relevant to what happened over 2000 years ago, when the version around now has been widely followed?

if it enlightens the world on events involving christ would it be way too controversial to be publicly released??? Can you imagine the outrage from the church?!

Ah! thats similar to what i was thinking! Is it the words of christ that christian follows, or is it the reputed words of christ? and if the reputed words of christ are proved to be incorrect would that stop people from following them? no.

It would cause hate crimes by extremists towards the people who released them, and also it would just piss christians off, dispite jesus probably didnt say a single thing in the bible considering noone actually ran around with a pen taking minutes or documenting everything that happened in jesus life! so in a way it would be great to read coz it throws another perspective in there
