Its difficult and I do think that it depends somewhat on the relationship, I cheated at one point on my first boyfriend, we were together a long time and just drifted apart and I was young and just didn't think about the consequences of my actions, although that is no excuse I know! I went on to meet a new guy, ended up being together a long time, got married and everything and I never ever would have done anything like that to him! But one thing is you cant blame people for feeling the way they do, cheating is a rotten thing to do so if people see you as a cheater you need to totally show them that your a better person (if you are of course )

I think people who cheat have loyalty issues. They are people who are content to hurt other people to fulfill whatever needs they have they feel are not being fulfilled. If you can keep one totally happy- which may or may not even be possible- maybe they won't cheat on you. But, you already know what they do when they get bored or dissatisfied with their relationship. Instead of handling things maturely and fixing problems or ending things, they just cheat.

What makes you think that would not continue to be the case?

It is true if someone cheats with you they will cheat on you with someone else.

Yeah but what if your like in a love triangle and the guy is torn between the two and he isn't committed to either of you?
Then when he finally makes his chioce and chooses the "one", and he vows faithfulness and says that he wasn't faithful until he "layed his boots down" made the comitment to a serious monnogamous relationship?

I cheeted many times on this one girl i went out with when i was 15. She was my first proper girlfriend and for the first year i didnt cheet we were so happy together that i didnt realy notice any one else. but things became harder as we spent more time apart(exams and living quite far apart)i would go hang out with a group of friends and they were mostly single and and shagging each other(there was about 60-70 of us). but i started to get along with other people(namely girls) and my girlfrien got insanely jealous about this cause she couldnt be there constantly cause she lived out side the city.

She only ever found out about the once but the look of pain and betrayel in her eyes haunted me and i never done it again and i never could do it again. That look i never wana see again i destroyed too much once and i never got it back.

So i have to say thats untrue, mabye in some cases yes its true but dont forget life is one big learning curve and people do learn by there mistakes.
