the whole top trumps thing is back when i was a kid i did it.
so got interested in what they where doing
there called yugioh these are monsters 'n' stuff instead of cars bikes planes like when i was a boy but the principle is the same.

he has a shoe box of these cards theres 100's were there used to be about 20 or so cards in a tin

The collectible card games are FAR better than they was when I was a kid, as far as I remember they weren't even game to begin with.

And mass communication and consumer markets have made sure that the options(both in cards and rules) are so many you have a myriad of strategies and tricks even with the simplest of the games.

It's great, makes the kids strategists of sorts. A thing to master that feels like a challenge.
