I'm so confused!

Ok, so can someone please tell me what the difference is between Left and Right realism, according to crime?

This is for Sociology and I'm reading the chapters on this topic but they seem to sound exactly the same! Please, can someone dumb it down for me?

I think right uses less empthsis on the scientific method of crimes (the tendency is simply to rely on Official Statistics as evidence), and the left does from what i understand???? hay i did engineering as my degree.. ask me a math question...
