BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio - A 75-year-old northeast Ohio woman is recovering from injuries she received this week when a deer got into her home and attacked her.

Mary Blake of suburban Cleveland opened her patio door Wednesday to let her border collie back inside and was shocked when a female deer followed close behind.

Blake says she tried to shut the door, but the deer knocked it off track and then knocked into Blake and started stomping her.

Blake frantically called police as the deer damaged her walls, furniture and some keepsakes.

Two police officers arrived and were able to coax the deer outside.

Blake was treated at the hospital for bruises and cuts on her arms, legs and stomach. She has 27 stitches on her right knee.

Any ideas what could have caused or led to such an accident?
What do you think should be done to the deer?
Do you think it's the woman's fault?

Watch out for deers. Heck, TFS already has ducks and pigs. lol. Are there any deers around? TFS deers..hmm..sounds like a party with venison as feast.

Sounds like a terrible acciedent to me did the lady leave her door open acciedently??
Poor deer and poor dear I hope that they do not shoot the deer though Over here if an animal attacks a person they usually go out and shoot the said animal
I mean the sea is for sharks and lions are not to be kept as pets and dingo's are certainly not to be kept as pets
Sharks live in the sea it is their job to hunt Besides with so many sharks around how do they know which one to shoot lol

Well, that's what you get when you support your husbands hunting in the woods. Finally the deer are gonna send one of their Thugee trainee deer, one that hasn't yet been accepted fully as part of the cult, to prove himself with some "preventive action". She had it coming.

Sometimes the bullet goes astray.

By Matt Bean

In the final, frenzied days of the 2001 Wisconsin deer season, hunter Michael
Berseth leveled his muzzle-loading rifle at what he thought was the white
fleck of a deer's tail moving through the brush.

He pulled the trigger, and hit his mark. But although Berseth's aim was true,
his target was not: Berseth's "deer" tail was actually a white scarf worn by his
neighbor, Deborah Prasnicki.

Prasnicki, 47, was out for a walk with her two dogs when Berseth's bullet
struck her in the head, killing her. After a lengthy investigation, the hunter
will have to answer for her death in a trial beginning Tuesday.

Prosecutors say Berseth, 44, an experienced hunter who had hunted the area
before and lived just a half mile away, should have known better. He is
charged with second-degree reckless homicide, and could spend a maximum
of 15 years in prison if convicted.
