i agree. that's what true love is. but why would you give someone your true love if they hurt you like that? now, dying to save someone else is a little different.

You would give it to them beforehand, and it would stay through thick and thin. It really defies logic and rationality because it is about not helping yourself . . . sort of like something we should all strive to be like. Screw ourselves, let others be better. We should be able to smile as long as they can. That sort of stuff.

umm, hmm, I guess I've never been truly in love but I wouldn't do anything like that for anyone I don't consider blood family (only person who made that list is my best friend Keenan) but if you just some guy that I fall for and think I love and give up everything for you...umm not gonna happen. No one really can be trusted that way, or appreciate you that way I don't think. things might be different in a few years for me so who knows.

on the other hand, would giving up our own happiness really be necessary? what if you just let them be with the other person and you moved on? that way, it's better for the both of you, and more healthy for you. there are ways to let others be better, but also take care of ourselves. it might be painful at first, but we can still heal.

I don't think I'd give up happiness like. It's so hard to really appreciate and have, and if I can be happy they can find their own too. nobody has to be truly happy through anyone but themselves so it wouldn't matter what I gave up.

also i don't think that it's selfish to think about yourself sometimes and keep your own happiness in mind. it's not really healthy to always put someone else's happiness before your own when they just couldn't care less.

I would love to do that for someone but just so they could be in love with someone else then lose all my feelings on top of that except for the love i had for them ... that part would kill me...LITERALLY So, dont call me heartless but I'll have to say no!!
