do u sleep with the door open or shut?

I like to sleep with the door almost closed, but not quite. Think it goes back to when the kids were very young and I was afraid I wouldnot hear them crying during the night.

I don't usually care, but if my brother is playing music while I'm trying to fall asleep, it needs to be closed. If my room is a mess, it needs to be closed. If I'm watching hockey before bed, it needs to be closed so no one sees my angry/joyful expressions. I don't care if they hear me screaming at the TV. That's just gonna happen.

The main reason is to keep my dog from running downstairs and sleeping on the couch

When I lived with my family it was always closed but not all the way.

Now I sleep with it open.

Shut, i get up to all sorts of weird s*** in there

I can't keep it shut, because if I do my cat will meow all night to either get in or get out. So I keep it open a crack.

Shut so I dont hear the postman putting the letters in my postbox and the phone ringing

It depends if that's cats keep running in and out of the room. Usually play time is right around bed time. But usually I keep it open.
