So I see that a lot of the people here are from the UK. How does everyone like the Harry Potter series?

I personally am in love with the boy, and his snowy white owl. The sixth book comes out July 16th, so I am rereading the series. I'm about halfway through the second book.

I'm looking forward to reading it.
I used to really like Harry Potter, but I guess I sort of grew out of it.

Eh, I don't think you can ever really grow out of it. I'm not as obsessed with it as I used to be, but I still enjoy it and think Rowling's an excellent writer.

I know some really intelligent adults that are in love with the book as well, it's a book for all ages.

I think it's understandable for a person to grow out of Harry Potter. The writing is juvinile and not very deep at all. The grammar isn't very good either. It always makes me sad whenever I see a person in their 30s or 40s who loves the series.

The Dark Tower series by Stephen King is better than the Harry Potter.

Better than Chocolate was a good Canadian movie about lesbianism . . . but that's beside the point.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a great book. I read it rapidly in one day.

Into books now eh? *Stretches herself out.* Well then.. here's what "I" fancy:

"Wild Hearts"
"The Marriage Prize"
"The Border Hostage"
*** All by Virginia Henley***

Now for Fantasies..:

I like Harry Potter aye, but I'm not THAT into it... however!!!

"Seventh Son", "Red Prophet", "The Tales of Alvin Maker III", "Alvin Journeymen", and "HeartFire" by Orson Scott Card, just to name a few.

All of the "Dragon Riders of Pern" books.

"A Game of Thrones", "A Clash of Kings", "A Storm of Swords" by George R. R. Martin.

Lastly...

By C.s. Friedman, "Black Sun Rising", "When True Night Falls", and "Crown of Shadows."
